Dear Distinguished Guests, Colleagues, and Friends,
On behalf of the Organizing Committee, it is our great honor and pleasure to welcome you to the 2nd International Conference on Innovative Structure and Resilient City (ISRC 2026), held from August 22 to 24, 2026, in Bangkok, Thailand. The conference will be conducted in a hybrid format, enabling both in-person and online participation.
Following the successful launch of the 1st ISRC, held from September 27 to 29, 2025, in Nagoya, Japan, ISRC 2026 marks an important continuation of this international conference series. The inaugural conference brought together researchers and practitioners from diverse disciplines, fostering high-quality academic exchange and interdisciplinary collaboration. Building on this strong foundation, ISRC 2026 aims to further expand global dialogue and cooperation in the fields of innovative structures and resilient city development.
As cities worldwide continue to face complex challenges such as climate change, rapid urbanization, extreme events, and aging infrastructure, resilience has become a central theme in urban planning and engineering. Developing resilient cities requires not only innovative and robust structural systems, but also the integration of smart technologies, sustainable infrastructure, and resilience-oriented management strategies.
ISRC 2026 provides an interdisciplinary platform for scholars, engineers, planners, and industry experts to share recent research advances, emerging technologies, and practical experiences related to resilient cities and infrastructure systems. Conference topics cover innovative structural design, smart and sustainable infrastructure, risk assessment and mitigation, and resilience-based urban management, with the aim of bridging fundamental research and real-world applications.
We are pleased to host ISRC 2026 in Bangkok, a vibrant and rapidly evolving global city that reflects both the opportunities and challenges of urban resilience, particularly in the Southeast Asian context. The city’s dynamic development, cultural diversity, and ongoing efforts toward sustainable urban transformation offer an inspiring setting for meaningful discussion and collaboration.
We are honored to welcome distinguished keynote speakers and contributors from around the world. Their expertise and insights will enrich the technical sessions and stimulate in-depth discussions on current challenges and future directions in resilient city research and practice. In addition to academic sessions, ISRC 2026 also provides valuable opportunities for networking and international collaboration.
Finally, we extend our sincere gratitude to all participants, reviewers, sponsors, and supporting organizations whose dedication makes ISRC 2026 possible.
We warmly welcome you to Bangkok and to ISRC 2026, and we look forward to your active participation in advancing resilient, sustainable, and future-ready cities.
Sincerely,
ISRC 2026 Organizing Committee
